Vor sieben Jahren sind Amakawa Yuutos Eltern verstorben. Seitdem kümmert sich seine Kindheitsfreundin Kuzaki Rinko um ihn. Das einzige was Yuuto noch von seinen Verwandten hinterlassen wurde, ist ein Talisman, den er von seinen Großeltern bekommen hat. Ab Yuutos 16. Geburtstag lässt die vor bösen Geistern schützende Wirkung des Talismans jedoch nach. Doch genau zum richtigen Zeitpunkt erscheint Himari, ein Katzenmädchen, ausgerüstet mit einem Samuraischwert, um ihn fortan zu beschützen. Dabei gibt es aber ein kleines Problem: Yuuto hat ungünstigerweise eine Katzenallergie.
